If you're within 50 miles, you HAVE to go here. It's fun, adult sing-along songs. They mostly play songs from the 80s but with a $4 or $5 request, they'll play just about anything you want them to. VERY VERY FUN- for the whole (21 and over) family. And we get a locals discount- so that's always nice!!

Really liked the scene here. Insider tip - get there right at 7 on a Saturday or you are NOT getting a seat. We arrived at 7:45 and got some of the last seats available. The bartender upstairs was really nice and a great mixologist.

Don't walk...RUN here! We visited on a recent trip at the recommendation of a friend and had a blast!! Definitely arrive before 9 as it gets really busy after that. If you arrive between 7-8 you can pretty much have your pick of seats and not have to pay the $5 cover. Make sure you bring some $5's for song requests and if you tip more, you'll likely hear your song quicker. We had heard some other complaints about watered down drinks so we mainly stuck to wine and that worked out well. There was a great crowd the night we went and the pianists were fantastic about getting everyone engaged! They were all great musicians and entertainers! I would absolutely visit here again on my next trip!

Great music, and drinks! There is a bar downstairs, as well as upstairs, which was convenient. You must be 21+ to get in, so don't forget the I.D. There is also a 5$ cover, but completely worth it! I'd suggest getting there before 9pm, anytime after that it gets pretty busy, and you most likely won't have a seat! As I have read in some reviews people complaining about it not being "family friendly" you must have forgot you need to be 21+ to get in. Which would mean it isn't a family friendly BAR. Go in with an open mind, seeing as some of the 3 words on the board people request to be put up may be offensive to some. So don't have a stick up your ass, and go for a good time. I'll be visiting again on my next trip to Myrtle Beach!

We had a great time at the piano bar! The musicians were fantastic and kept the great songs flowing. It can get a little bit raunchy at times but not the worst I've seen at piano bars. Also side tip I didn't see anyone post on here: Locals with ID get in for FREE at any time. No cover. Otherwise the cover is 10$.

I love duelling piano bars, this is by far the least fun one ive ever been to. First the seating is long picnic tables so it feels like a field trip instead of club. Second, the pianists had real trouble reading the crowd and keeping the energy high. Lots of droning old 70s rock songs were lulling the crowd to sleep. What really made the experience horrible though were the guests. The establishment has a mirror where people pay the artists to write things they will shout out during the songs. While i chuckled during the "jets suck!" Portion of this bit, i did not need to hear "hillary sucks!" Followed by "impeach obama now!" For two hours. (Which doesn't remove a president from office but the WV and Ohio crowd sure seemed to think it would). By 10:30 a crowd of all white men and their annihilated wives were already going off on a racist and conservative vein that had no place in a family friendly area like boardwalk at the beach. As other reviewers have said, the misogynistic singing commentary by the artists was both stomach-turning and unfunny. I left, but not before being reminded of the worst south carolina's tourists have to offer.

So it's kind of cool, do lots of requests but you do HAVE to tip with your requests... Good for them I guess.

We checked this place out due to great reviews. We probably won't go back. The review that mentioned the degrading comments, gestures and jokes toward women was right on. They would shout out to different tables full of women that they were "hot" or "sexy bi%@!es" or that they saw a lot of "hoes" in the audience. So, those sesitive to that sort of thing should stay away. Two of the four players were the culprits. There were four pianists that would team tag the entertainment throughout the night. They did a nice ensemble with piano, keyboard and drums for certain songs. They were definitely talented, and a couple more than the other two. We enjoyed the guy that was able to pull of old school rap songs and the Dr. Seus rap of Green Eggs and Ham. They played a lot of oldies and the crowd was mixed with 50/50 more mature audience (50-60yrs old) and 21-35yr olds It was nice that there was second floor seating to be able to watch the entertainment, but there was no dance floor and the setup was a little awkward compared to other piano bars I've been to. You have to get there between 7 & 8 to not have to pay the $10 cover. Bars were located upstairs and down stairs, which was convenient. Drinks were cheap, and I have to wonder if there was any alcohol in the jello shots... certainly didn't seem like it. But after two beers, 5 jello shots and two rum & cokes our bar tab was less than $40.

Crocodile Rocks is probably the best, or one of the best piano bars I have ever been to. My party of 5 made a reservation a couple days in advance. The reservation requires $10 per person and for you to show up before 8pm. The rules sound crazy, but the place was packed by 9pm-10pm. The food here is pretty good, but it's mostly a bar; although any food taste good after drinking from a fishbowl drink. Although this is a great place to have fun, the service can be slow. There were easily 150 people in this bar and they only had 3 servers. The people playing the piano also talked about "tipping" a lot which can get a bit tacky. Some of their jokes are also incredibly offensive and degrading to women. Besides those things, it's a fun time all around.

  • Nic H.

One of the best bar experiences I have ever had. Every single member of the staff was friendly. We had no trouble getting service at any time of the night. The performers were in tune with the audience and interactive, to the point where it was memorable to us. I honestly would recommend this place for anyone looking for entertainment in Myrtle Beach, especially fun nightlife.

I came here with my mom and sister last Saturday night while on vacation. I called Saturday morning around noon, and was told that we were able to make a reservation, and as long as we were there by 8, it would only be $10 each instead of $20! We booked our reservation, and upon arrival, we were seated right by the stage! My mom was thrilled. The acts consisted of two sets of piano players, who were all equally talented. There was also a board that for the right price, could display any message you want. The price only went up though, so if seeing the words "Ohio State Rocks!" bums you out, you have to pony up the cash to change it. I put in 4 songs, and they did all but one request. I was impressed with the variety and style of songs they covered. My only gripe: the fishbowl drink was almost all fruit juice; if you're gonna charge $15.95, throw some rum in there! I'd definitely go back.

The first time I came to Crocodile rocks I had no idea what to expect but I'm glad I went. You definitely will not forget the nigh! 2 great dueler's that play your songs all night long, from the Fresh Prince Theme Song or Journey, it is always a great time with friends. This is a regular now any time I come down to Myrtle beach :) and it should be for you too. And if you're lucky you might see the violin get played!

  • Jessica Y.

The musicians are extremely talented and are able to play piano, drum, and sing and other instruments. Just a side note, the crowd is geared towards older generation and you will rarely see any 20 year olds, except for us, everyone was in their 30s, 40s or 50s. Therefore, they play alot of music in the 70s, 80s, and some in the 90s. IF you are a hot girl bringing up the napkin request with money, the guys will at least try to google the lyrics and sing it, which is pretty adorable because they have a good sense of humor. They will also give you a shout out if it is your birthday, have you go up the stage and perhaps embarrass you a little all in good humor. Though I didn't know most of the songs played (mostly country music), I had an amazing time just seeing how talented the musicians are and how everyone was so involved and would dance to the music and cheer and laugh. It was a good time.

What a great place. We made reservations for Saturday night and were seated right in front which was great. Our server was very nice and bubbly, we started with these big drinks that were good but not strong (I believe they were called Malibu breeze) This has been my second time going to a dueling piano bar and this one was great. They do a great job entertaining everyone and they are hilarious. They strongly encourage a $5 tip in order for them to play your song. Our group of 11 had a great time and I was sad we had to leave early since some people wanted to watch the boxing fight at another bar. Make sure you come early and if possible have reservations since it gets really crowed and you will be standing.

This is a cool bar, with dueling pianos. The layout of the place is really nice. There is an upstairs area with a great view of the place. They play some decent songs... But they were too chicken sh#t to play my request. If I ever go there again, I will not waste my money putting in a request. Because the fat, pansy, bastard pianists don't know how to play Jimmy Hendrix. In all it was a cool bar, I just wouldn't waste my money requesting something, because they pick and choose what they want to play anyway...

  • Carolyn J.

Great times are ahead if you venture to Crocodile Rocks! The pianists were great. The two openers we had were awesome then they traded on and off with two other band members throughout the night. Great humor and good music be sure to bring cash to request songs etc! Fun times with average prices.

  • Miranda D.

Love love love!!! Such a great time! Bringing my parents here next time! The pianists were amazing and really kept the crowd going! We stayed for almost 4 hours just singing and dancing along! Cannot wait to go back!!

  • Debbie H.

My husband and I went here last night and it was awesome! There were 4 piano players that tag teamed 2 at a time. And sometimes all 4 were involved with added drums. I was in awe and very surprised with how talented they were. They sounded great! They were funny and the crowd was involved the entire time until 1am when it started to wind down. We got there around 10pm so I don't know how their food is and we drank beer and angry orchard cider so can't comment on their mixed drinks either. The beer and cider was $8 which was reasonable. We are in our 40's and the crowd was mixed with both older and younger people. I would say this was our best date night in awhile. Crowd was just rowdy enough but not too rowdy. And the entertainment was top notch. They played lots of 80s and 90s requests and they sounded awesome!

  • EDWARD W.

My wife and I stopped in to Crocodile Rocks to have a drink and listen to some live music. The dueling pianos sound great and the piano players are a blast. The music is loud, but not too loud and the crowd is fun. The music tends to be a little older from the 70's, 80's, and 90's, but you can request just about anything. What was really nice is that the place is smoke free. We liked the place so much that we stopped by twice on our trip. Monday was a little more quiet than Thursday, but both nights were fun. Give it a try.

Everything is boring around town because it is off season? Not a chance at this place. When places were either closed early or dead from the off season, this place really rocked. On a weekday, cover was $5 and on the weekend cover was $10. Don't let the cover get you down. The place is a lot of fun. There are two people playing the piano at all times and you basically write your request on a napkin and slip them a few bucks to play your song. You best tip $5 or more or your song may not be played. There are two levels with plenty of tables on the first floor. Saying this, you still need to get there early enough on the weekends to grab a table because the place gets packed fast and the tables get grabbed quick. I would say it would be a better experience to be able to grab a table and relax. There are waitresses that come around to the tables to get your drinks. They were all very nice and even though the place was packed, our drinks kept coming quickly. The service may have been very good for us because we tipped her very well every time she brought our drinks. I would advise this. The place gets packed. If your looking to hook up with someone, this may not be the place for you. This is more of a fun place to go with a group of friends. The live music is non stop. This place really is a money pit though. If you look below at the review by "Jeffrey A.", he explains it very well. It's exactly like he wrote. When we were there the one weekday, all they did was play the American anthem and the Canadian anthem. Every time someone gave more money to the one country, they would start singing that countries anthem. More then $1000 later in less than one hour, the Canadians won. I guess? Although I love America, I am also not stupid enough to get sucked into a money pit song. Bring friends, get a table, avoid the tourist money pit songs, and you will all have a great time!

Words cannot describe how much fun we had at this bar! So much fun that we went four times in one week. No cover charge before 8pm Sunday through Thursday and $5 after 8pm. $10 cover charge Friday and Saturday. Waitresses were amazing, very attentive and friendly. Tip them well, they rock! The pianists were incredible and kept the crowd going all night long. They can play a wide variety of music from all genres. Contrary to what is said in other reviews, they WILL play your song without a tip if they know it. But do yourself a favor and tip these guys, they are phenomenal!! They are truly talented performers, especially the incredible, good looking, Mark! So let loose, have some drinks, do yourself a favor and go to Crocodile Rocks! You won't regret it.

  • Gerald G.

Dueling piano bars are fantastic and Crocodile Rocks is no different. The musicians are extremely talented, well engaging, and can play just about any genre of music. I was with a wedding party and they did a great job of bringing him on stage while emphasizing his Marine credentials to an excited crowd. Others mentioned the 3 word phrase game. Someone in our party paid a good amount of money to have Let's Go Yankees repeated over and over again (that didn't go over well in the south but it was all in good fun).

  • Erin W.

This is a go-to place if you are not sure what to do. Always a party here. Staff is friendly enough and the piano guys seem to know every song imaginable. They add humor and the audience, so if you don't have a good time - its your own fault! I gave it 4 stars because the place could use a good scrubbing, and drinks seems to be under poured.

  • Cat R.

The dueling piano bar is lots of fun. The drinks are pretty bad and the bouncers are horrible, terrible people. I was harassed on my last visit because they didn't like the look of my ID. For the record, I am FORTY!!! They were rude and inconsiderate. Once we got in the place, drama surrounding my ID aside, I found the piano numbers enjoyable. The place is filthy and smoky, which you can expect in most bars in South Carolina. I needed my inhaler afterwards. I'll go with friends if they're dying to visit, but I'd never visit this place, with its unconscionable jerks for bouncers, on my own again.

A must go to place. You will have a blast-fun-fun!!!! These people are talented @ funny, go before 8 pm no charge and sit towards the back by the railings, if you want to be picked on then sit by the tables in front of the pianos. Just go.

Dueling piano bars are always a good choice and Crocodile Rock in Myrtle Beach is no exception. As a Bostonian visiting the area I thought this would be a good choice and I was right. Fun, friendly atmosphere that is entertaining for varied age groups. Not the best dueling piano bar I have been too but definitely a great spot in Myrtle Beach.

  • Kyle A.

The most entertaining place in Myrtle Beach without a doubt. I grew up in the area and had always heard amazing things and finally went for the first time this summer. There are two pianists who take donations to sing requests. Sometimes they do duels to see who will donate the most money to win (college fight songs, North v South, etc) Sometimes people will get called up on stage to celebrate something and will ultimately have to dance to something ridiculous. A lot of songs end up having a line changed to be a little raunchy. The later in the evening it gets the raunchier it gets. Absolutely love this place. I make an effort every time I visit home to go.

What an absolutely fabulous time we had at this bar! I had heard of dueling pianos before and seen a show in a different venue prior, but it was five times better being at an actual piano bar. The key to going is getting there before the show starts at 8pm so that you do not have to pay the $5 cover charge, but even paying the cover charge would be totally worth it. I definitely enjoyed sitting on the main floor, but I can't imagine that there was a bad seat in that entire place. You must be 21 to enter, and the humor is definitely for adult ears only. The piano players were absolutely fabulous, they switch duos every hour, but the pairs that perform together definitely feed off of one another. They highly encourage drinking, as they themselves are drinking along to the songs. They have decently priced drinks, and the syringe jello shooters are only $3. Our server, Mallory, was very nice and attentive. She made sure that she always stopped by to see if there was anything that we needed, and her personality definitely fit the atmosphere of the establishment. The entire place was very welcoming and set the atmosphere for the entertainment. The bathrooms were clean, but I was a little confused as to why there was a bathroom attendant in there. We enjoyed the drinks, though we just had miller lites and did not go up to the bar. If you are looking for a quality entertaining performance and a fun night with friends or the adult members of your family, this is the place to go.

We happened to be in Myrtle Beach on a cold dreary December day. Definitely the off season for a town like this. Found this little gem on Yelp...and had so much fun!! It was a lively crowd despite the lack of bodies. The piano players were so funny and definitely talented. Drinks are poured heavy and relatively cheap. Not really a youthful crowd but that's exactly what I had in mind. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

This is lots of fun. The piano players are very talented and can not only play the piano but can sing. I would highly recommend going here for a fun night.

  • Bill S.

Whenever the doors open, go and get a good seat! If you wait an hour or two, sure the crowd is rowdy and the musicians are in 'Rock your Socks' mode, but you probably will have a seat in the back area where you can't really see past the row of people in front of you. Though, once the pianos are going and the drinks are flowing, you won't even care. These players are amazing too. The one guy got up and grabbed his fiddle, jumped up on the piano and started playing along with 'Devil went to georgia" Later, the same guy wailed on a keytar! The guys were very entertaining, the bartenders friendly and the atmosphere, amazing! I will go to Croc Rocks every single time I go down to Myrtle Beach!

This bar is for lack of better words, fucking amazing. I lived in NC for 4 years, been to Myrtle Beach hundreds of times and only went to this place for the first time recently. The music is awesome and it's only awesome because the crowd feeds the piano players!! I recommend this bar so much if I was rich enough I would pay you to go there!

  • Jason K.

We took the advice on here and got here right after 7PM, we got a prime table and skipped out on the cover charge. The musicians are talented and definitely entertaining, we had a great time. They have a side game going each night where you can pay to have a 3 word phrase put on the board, and they say it repeatedly until somebody else outbids and gets their own phrase. Our waitress was great and took good care of us, she always made sure we had a drink in our hands. If I had to come up with a downside, its the price of the drinks, though its inline with everything else at Broadway at the Beach. For a night with what seemed like just a few rum and cokes (from what I recall), the tab was near $100.

Accomplished pianists ! Hilarious humor and talent! Perfect for an older crowd ... 30's and up.

    (4)
  • John C.

I felt bad giving this a 4 star but based on the lack of service and horrible drinks it couldn't be a 5. The piano players were excellent - especially Dustin who was hilarious and was well versed in many different genres. Unfortunately the service was less than expected from the first waitress (sorry she didn't give her name) but Mallory was great - she wasn't our waitress but took time to explain how the venue works (great personality) - you should ask for her section!! The drinks (sodas) left a lot to be desired - they were supposedly coke products, tasted more like RC cola? The Cherry Coke I ordered didn't have grenadine in it - so not sure how it was supposed to be a cherry Coke? - Bathrooms were clean and maintained. Great experience only because of the entertainment, could be perfect if bar would raise the quality of drinks.

Easily looked over- HIDDEN GEM! They really engage the crowd and the vibe is awesome. Been going to myrtle for years and I'm so sad I've been missing out all this time!! Fun for everyone as it is a huge range of music! (Not kids)

    (5)
  • Travis M.

The performers didn't know half the songs that were requested. So they just played whatever garbage 70's song they could think of and just keep the tip that was given for the request. Drink prices are high.

  • Jeff N.

This was so much fun! $10 cover, I went on Saturday 11/10. It was pretty quite at first, but picked up quite a lot by the end of the night. And apparently local Myrtle Beach residents pay no cover! The amount of music they know is remarkable! The drinks were strong too, with servers throughout the floor. I would recommend this over and over, it was the most fun I had in my 5 days in Myrtle Beach.

  • Juliane D.

The piano players were awesome, the "restaurant" itself sucked. First we asked our waitress if they even have a food menu, she said "umm yea i think he is back there". She came back with a menu. We ordered mozzarella sticks, they came out ice cold. We sent them back to be re-heated and when we got them back, one was missing. When we ordered our beers, the waitress told us to not order a draft beef because their tap water is bad and she recommended we order the bottles which was more $. We didn't listen, and ordered the tap... It tasted fine. She just wanted more money in her pocket. They also only sell bottled water. Overall, we had a good time. Not happy about the $10 cover, but what can you do? We also didn't like that the musicians were all about the $. In order for you to request a song, you have to pay. If you only give a dollar, don't be surprised when they don't sing the song. Oh, even if you waste $10 to have them sing the song, they only pay half of it anyway. I recommend having everyone else waste their money and just enjoy the show!

  • Nicholas S.

I've been to a few piano bars all around the world, and this one ranks pretty high up there. My wife and I had the pleasure of being there for a musician's last night at the bar and they definitely cut loose; enjoying themselves and bringing us all along for the ride. The place started out thin but picked up quite a bit; even on a cool February night. The wait staff was attentive but slow -- the drinks were good, affordable and the music was fantastic. We will definitely make this a regular visit during our Myrtle excursions and look forward to getting back there in the near future.

Not a restaurant, but you will always have a good time here. If you pass by you have to stop in, the entertainment is great and ask for Frank! He's awesome

So. Much. Fun. My husband and I went here last summer and had a blast. The dueling pianists were doing North vs. South. Totally fabulous! At the end of the night the bartender mixed up some crazy concoction for everyone to take outside. Can't wait to dump my brats off on my mother...I mean get a babysitter and go again!

  • Shalin P.

Dueling piano bars are typically fun no matter what city you are in. If you have never been to one, it's basically an interactive form of evening entertainment. They have two piano players at the bar, and they take donations to sing requests. They will also have fun contests- for example, the night we were there, they were trying to see what college's fans would donate the most money. Then they would play the fight song of whatever college was in the lead. My alma mater, Michigan, was the winner that night so it was fun to see my fight song being blasted in a Myrtle Beach bar. You get a pretty good mix of genres too. They played rock, country, pop, and even hip hop. The place was packed by 9 pm so get there early. It's a very popular bachelorette party spot too. Standard cover is $10 but you can pay $20 to get a reserved seat (must call in advance).

I was down here for a bachelor party years ago, and it was a great piano bar. Beer was kind of high, but the "Hot, Wet Pu*sy" song is as bawdy as it gets.

Horrible place. Roaches found in the kitchen and The piano's are not tuned. Writing on window is the reason why they suck!

  • Rob B.

Went here with my wife and sister last year and had a blast. If you're a non-resident there is a cover charge, but if you live here you get in free, I think. Basically a dueling piano bar where you sit and drink and send in your song requests to two guys who will sing it for you. It's a lot of fun and a great way to spend a night.

Great place with unique atmosphere. The piano players pit on quite a show. You will laugh hard. Drinks are reasonable. Overall a great time whenever we go.

The most under-rated bar and entertainment venue in Myrtle Beach. So much fun and usually packed. Nothing beats dueling piano's. Nothing.

Lots of fun! We paid a $10 cover but it's well worth it! My boyfriend and I were shocked how easily people threw away money at the different duals...north and south...schools...sport teams... but it was all fun to watch the poor suckers!

Out of all the bars at broadway at the beach, this one has to be my favorite. Great entertainment for a small cover charge. Some nights they don't charge a cover fee. The dueling piano player are awesome!!'

By far the best dueling piano bar I have attended in the country.. I have Been to ones in San Fran, Long Beach,Scottsdale, Dallas, Indy and Baltimore just to name a few.. Great crowd involvement good singers good bartenders and wait staff... Always a favorite when I head to Myrtle Beach!!! It is a must go to..

I went there on my honeymoon but it wasn't as great as the one in Vegas. The guy singers and pianist were great but they weren't doing any of the songs anyone requested. The bar wasn't that great and the drinks weren't made right.

  • Emily A.

Dueling pianos I discovered in Reno NV... and it was always our first starting place... when I found out there was one when I moved here I was ecstatic. However, this was much different, much BIGGER, and they play different "piano" games... cause of the rivalries (such as north and south) and include sometimes a drummer... The down side is it costs $10 to get in unless you have a SC ID. Well even though I have lived here for 6 months, it is not permanent and so ultimately always had to pay. I still love this place though and it is worth the money for some major fun (if you like to sing along and people watch). It's pretty crowded so I would say get there early if you want a seat!!

    (5)
  • Katie M.

Loud, dive-ish, and dirty...Perfect. Oh yeah, there are pianos, too, and the players are fantastic. Each hangs at the piano for a few songs, then jumps around to other instruments, and eventually will switch out with a new team if you stick around long enough. Off season there's no cover, in season, I think it's a bit pricey (but there are coupons everywhere). Beer and the fried appetizers are your best bets, and every once in awhile the servers come around with shooters and jello shots. Don't come too early- let the party get started before you make the stop- but don't come too late- you won't get a seat. Best to go down to Broadway at the Beach and check out the crowd and grab a bite elsewhere, then start the end of a long evening here! Good to have a few pops before you get here as well- makes the over the top excitement of the performers a bit more bearable, and you may just find yourself jumping up to do "the carwash oh, oh, oh", or all the sudden sing along with "she's a brick.....hoouuse".

I was lucky enough to go to the redneck riviera for business and smart enough to make the trip more about pleasure. It's been three years since I first encountered Crocodile Rocks but such a memorable experience, I couldn't help but to Yelp it now. Hopefully it hasn't changed much because it was perfect back then. This dueling piano bar is a blast! Althogh very crowded it never seemed like we had to wait long to drink (of course, this is Myrtle Beach) and the dueling piano artists (yes, they were artists) were fantastic! We were purposely trying to write down songs we thought would be incredibly hysterical to hear them attempt and they didn't disappoint. We loved the North vs. South dual especially - as I'm sure they do, too. Each night we witnessed it, it was an inevitable goldmine, but also highly entertaining. The games they played for birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette parties were all fantastic, too. Although not engaged at the time, I vowed to return here for my bachelorette party. It never did come to fruition but did start a love affair w/ dueling piano bars.
